Professor Eleanor Shaw MA, PhD, FRSA

Eleanor is an Associate Principal of the University of Strathclyde which she is a Director of the Strathclyde Doctoral School and responsible for the university’s entrepreneurship strategy,

Strathclyde Inspire. Eleanor has a PhD from the University of Glasgow and her research interests are in entrepreneurship, in particular women’s experiences of entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial capital and entrepreneurial ecosystems. Eleanor has worked in the Higher Education sector for more than 25 years and is an experienced entrepreneurship teacher and researcher. Her research is regularly published in leading peer-reviewed journals and she is an actively involved in the UK’s entrepreneurship ecosystem through the various board positions that she holds as well as her research and engagement activities. Eleanor has led on the design and delivery of the Growth Advantage Programme which supports the growth of innovation-driven ventures. Eleanor sits on the board of the Beatson Cancer Charity.
