Lama is a Social and Economic Policy entrepreneur with experience in Europe and the Middle East. She has worked on matters of investment attraction, human capital development, Innovation Ecosystem Development, and Data and AI policy. She has formerly consulted for renowned institutions, including the World Bank Group, the Economist Intelligence Unit, the Cabinet Office in the UK. Lama founded Awtada Management LLC, which currently encompasses an Investor Relations agency. Her company works with some of the largest financial institutions in the GCC and has successfully enhanced the way they publicly communicate their performance. The firm also encompasses a public policy advisory practice, in which she has led several engagements. One of the projects was developing a strategy for a sports federation. The project was centred around social inclusion and leveraging the sport to promote social causes. During her time in Oxford, Lama was the Co-Vice President of the Oxford Women in Politics. She also initiated a forum to discuss the accessibility gap to bring greater equality for marginalised people with disability. Lama holds a master’s degree in public policy from St Anne's College, and a bachelor’s in international business, with a specialisation in Finance from Grenoble Ecole de Management in France.
