Charlotte Walker

Charlotte Walker is a Manager with Alvarez & Marsal Taxand U.K. LLP and is based in Glasgow, Scotland. She has more than six years of experience across a range of tax advisory and compliance engagements for asset managers, funds and private businesses.

Ms. Walker’s notable assignments include a considerable number of fund establishment projects for both domestic and international private equity, venture capital and infrastructure funds as well as managing tax compliance and administration for large U.K. based asset managers. Ms. Walker has worked with clients across various industries from a funds and private business perspective and also has experience in advising Fund Executives on their personal tax matters with a particular focus on carried interest and co-investment arrangements.

Prior to joining A&M in February 2020, Ms. Walker spent over three years with the International Tax and Transaction Services team at EY in Edinburgh, where she most recently served as a Tax Advisor. She advised on several international tax advisory projects as well as leading engagements for offshore fund tax compliance as part of EY’s U.K. Centre of Excellence for Reporting Funds. ​In late 2019, she completed a secondment to EY’s International Tax Desk in New York as part of a high performers program. This allowed her to enhance her international tax knowledge, particularly working with a range of U.S. clients.​

Ms. Walker earned a bachelor’s degree (with honors) in Accountancy and Business Law from the University of Stirling. Ms. Walker is also a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
