Aya Suzuki, CFA

Aya passionately believes in the good mental and physical health of women and brings her banking and operational expertise into Goddess Gaia Ventures .

As an experienced banker, Aya not only has exceptional technical background and organisational skills, but also fully understands the importance of collaboration, out-of-the-box thinking, technology, mentorship and D&I, as well as holistic approaches to health in women’s lifecycle. With impeccable credentials, she has become an integral part of the team leading the full spectrum of GG Ventures’ fund operations.

Aya is a Fixed Income and Debt Capital Markets professional with 12 years of deal execution, business development and client relationship management experience at UBS Investment Bank in London and Tokyo. She was most recently responsible for the origination, distribution and execution of private placements for a broad range of institutional clients worldwide and has extensive experience delivering cross-border solutions for her clients. Aya has a long track record in advising blue chip corporates, large financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds, supranationals and agencies to achieve their desired funding outcomes through traditional public and private bond issuances. Aya was also at the forefront of banking innovation; helping her clients to develop market-leading innovative transactions such as ESG-themed private placement and Formosa bonds as well as advising SMEs on their inaugural private placements from institutional investors.

Outside of the office, Aya has always been a big fan of sports and loves staying active rain or shine. She enjoys a variety of sports with her young family and is a keen advocate of developing mental and physical strength and well-being in both children and adults.

Aya speaks both Japanese and English fluently.

Aya holds a BA in Economics from Waseda University, Japan and is a CFA charter holder.
